A couple decades ago, I had an epiphany that I wasn’t leading my family with the same level of intentional strategy as I was leading business. That inspired me to connect with and learn from other families who had figured out how to thrive for generations. Those families who developed and retained financial wealth for generations inevitably had specific strategies around also developing and transferring these other four forms of non-financial wealth to create holistic wealth of life and well-being. What’s more, the loss of financial wealth is almost always preceded by losses in these non-financial forms of wealth.

I have also learned that a similar principle applies to our business. This is why one of our core values at Wilkinson is Unleashing Wealth of Life…which for us means continual growth in all of these five forms of capital.

Today, I’m on a mission to help families, businesses and investors focus on developing true wealth of life by pursuing intentional strategies to develop all five forms of capital. I want to see investors enhance their financial wealth and I also want to see them enhance their wealth of life. This is my “Why”—why I serve our investors as CEO of Wilkinson.
